There is a pretty incredible and unusual exhibit up at the Center for the Book and also the San Francisco Public Library's main branch. It's about the Bay Area movement in copy machine art that arose in the 1970s up through zines. It's such a cool and unusual cut back through history—Chicano, feminist, technological, artistic. It's called Positively Charged

The tie in with the zine world of the 90s and 00s that I knew and loved is pretty obvious. One fun connection: Rene Yañez, who worked with/around the Galeria de la Raza, has work in the show... AND his son Rio Yañez has a zine in the show, too. And it is hilarious. Raza si! Dr. Doom, no!
