       As I discussed on yesterday's Boles.tv live stream, Elon has over exaggerated what he thinks we think of the value of Twitter.Surrounded by "Yes" people, he thinks we cannot live without Twitter, and that we'll pay for the honor of using his closed system.What he doesn't get is that many are waiting for just the right reason to leave the Fail Whale for more secure environments; and with every un-deft move he makes, he gives the last hangers-on the final push they want to jump to Mastodon!

       @david All these tech companies think they are too big to fail, until they do. Where's Netscape? AOL? Excite? MySpace? Twitter is just one more. Who's next? It could be Google.

       @locuta @david Very likely. Another problem with all these companies, pretty much every corporation, is that they depend on infinite growth. There's no such thing. Facebook has hit a wall for growth, the only place to go is down.

       @darkphotonstudio @locuta Well, Facebook deserves to die an ugly, vicious death. I loathe everything about them. (heh!)When we are able to program our own AI Bots, things will get better because we can control intent and direction. Similar Bots will network together -- Borg-like -- to do, we hope, the right thing and not the corruptible inevitable.
