Let's see... so far today I've been toned policed and called a racist because I refuse to hate a specific niche of people. I've had people try to explain to me like I'm a child why I should hate something. I've been called a bigot. All for the crime of saying, "You know, hating Harry Potter fans and making them miserable is childish and does absolutely nothing for anyone's cause."We can all agree that J.K. Rowling is a POS, but that's not the fan's fault. And this reaction? Very tolerant.

@mrvapor Same with Mel Gibson, or Michael Jackson. One has got to be able to separate the art from the person. Many of civilization's greatest heroes were horribly flawed. The Marquis De Sade was a monster of depravity, but 'Justine' is still a rollicking good book.

Some of the best times in my life were watching those movies with my kids, and no one will take that from me. Just like watching Clint Eastwood movies was a thing I cherish from the days when my dad was alive. (I think Mr. Eastwood is also a giant waste of space.)Point is, focus the attention where it's deserved and stop trying to tell everyone how they should live. You'll get a lot farther that way.

@mrvapor Clint may have gone the way of Jon Voight, but his acting and directing credentials elevate him to legend-status. Arguably 'The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly' is objectively the best film ever made. I could NEVER not admire and respect Clint.

@Tilopa For his work, absolutely. Much like I respect Abraham Lincoln, who was an avowed racist, for putting it into law that POC shouldn't be slaves. I respect that work. Doesn't make Lincoln any more of a saint or less of a racist.
