       @hydeIs it better than watching them discover #mastodon on their own? Or discover the greater #fediverse for that matter?#twitter would likely stick around, with its arrogance kept in check by the #fediverse, in some yin yang balance

       @hyde Unfortunately none 😐But I think that also has to do with not many of my friends being on social media that are comparable to Mastodon.AFAIK most of my friends just use Instagram, some still use Facebook for events and messaging. Therefore projects like Pixelfed or Mobilizon might be more interesting for them, but I expect to be able to convince them to join and stay, the userbase would have to be much bigger than it is right now...

They looked at it for a grand total of 10 minutes, said yuck, and back they ran to #twitterMade me think that it maybe better for them to discover independently especially as more high profile users abandon Twitter and make it a ghost town I suppose true to the spirit of the #fediverse there is no one universal experience in bringing users over
