       Platforms like Twitter etc will always be more like a private club than the #fediverse. They will better cater to you. Here will always feel more like being in public. You can choose where you go to try to avoid assholes and shit you don't want to see and intentional harassment should be dealt with, but it won't be perfect. What you get instead is the energy of street life. Weird and sometimes scary, but also more organic. Original characters. Not packaged and sold. Where cool always comes from.
