       What do you make of the hashtag  #AYearForArt? To me, it looks like a bot network spamming the world. A paragraph of stuff that could be AI generated, links to sites where you can buy prints, a selection of hashtags, a picture. Always the same mesmerizing pattern. Am I AI paranoid or is this spam?

       @kensanata It is not spam, just a group of artists that have adopted the hashtag to show their artwork. Some other people have picked up on it and use it, but for the most part it is to showcase our art and photography. Hope that helps. Thanks for your comment.

       @kensanata I started #AYearForArt as a movement to bring awareness to the hard work of Independent Artists Worldwide.  Independent doesn't mean that we don't sell our art online.  It is a GOOD thing for ALL artists. EVERYONE can participate.  I personally abhor AI and have spoken out against it many times.  It is very damaging to artists.  hashtags cannot be bots...accounts can.  We don't have an account.  We use the hashtag to bring awareness.  I write poetry with my posts. Far from AI garbage.

       @kensanata @animerrillproductions @susannah You have received some replies letting y'all know we are real people w/ real accounts that use the hashtag #AYearForArt to promote each other & find each other. You 3 are welcome to use the hashtag too!  We have a wide variety of all kinds of artists from all over the fediverse and we have found in the past year that using a hashtag TOGETHER helps all of us.  A rising tide lifts al boats -- we have more eyes on our work & MORE FUN promoting all art!

       @kensanata  This platform is based on hashtags, we’re not just free to use them, but that’s how you join in conversations, find special interest groups. This # is one of the many we use to see Artwork. Btw, POPULAR hashtag equal Spam?! Al generated?! I just saw an Al generated Hummingbird here and I deeply resent it, I know the skills it takes to capture one when they flap their wings 40-50 times a SECOND and zoom about 25-60mph. Pls find the toot and voice your opinion there.
