       Quick question: do you use GUI software catalogs to install new Linux software, or the usual CLI way?In the end, I still find CLI easier and more clear. And Flatpak (or similar stuff) helps a bit. Not so much that I use it extensively, but helps.GUI catalogs can help new users coming from Win or macOS, but my impression is that they always give a false sense of "all is fine here".#linux #flatpak

       @thelinuxEXP @bitzero what is an app and how does it differ from an application or software package?command line tools are generally faster, but GUIs can make browsing helpful sometimes if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. A lot of times I'll search out package names on the internet and then drop to a shell to actually install
