(Note to self: start decoupling yourself from Google.)Google search to stop showing podcast results in the carousel section this month. 😱But don't panic. This doesn't mean they will cease to index podcasts, so your show's website and episode detail pages can still show up in search results. 😌 You do have a show website, with solid episode detail pages, don't you? 🧐Also: repeat note to self.Via @Podnews #podcasting

@evoterra @Podnews With you on this one, buddy. I started this decoupling last year. Started using replacement services (including search) and even replaced my smart speakers with Echo's.

@evoterra @joe @Podnews Gmail isn't going away. I trust Google with security, especially when you turn on the advanced protection (which requires physical keys), and email is a very important thing to keep secure. I doubt I would go elsewhere for that.I often try Firefox as a browser. Not found a decent alternative to Google search as yet.
