oh oh, my phone's display has things burnt in - like the mail and app notification things in the upper tray. can that happen? I can also see phantom text :cirno_help:

@kaia my friend's phone was a handmedown from his mom and it's so burnt in that you can see the facebook interface etched in so bad that it's painfully obvious

@maija oh no. I bought it used maybe 1.5 years ago, so that makes sense. I want a new one, but it's expensive. I'll stick with this one until it gets too bad.

@kaia Yup, if it's OLED burn-in is a possibility.You could try using one of those pixel refresh sites, that may do something but I'm not too sure.

@maija @kaia I don't usually use phones long enough to see burn in because i trade them in after a while, but an old tablet of mine got turned on and it was sitting on the charger for months, it must've had the same screen on for months or something. it's a normal LCD and it still got majorly burned in, but that is worst case scenario
