       @quilnux google is already panicking over ChatGPT and will launch their own bot soon - if it doesn't get incorporated into the search engine, i'd be surprised. many people are using ChatGPT instead of Google because "at least it provides an answer" (even if it's not the right one) - a bit fucked up but you can understand why that's appealing

       @thor Yeah, I read the brief today on it. Shame really. I'm not against tech advancements but to me ChatGPT seems reckless. But again, that's just me.

       @quilnux we are entering a strange era for digital right now, where you can't know if things are real or fake. it's been going that way for a while but it's really ramping up now, to the extent that seeing really isn't believing anymore.
