       What is wrong with this picture?The first thing I notice is the huge open space. Then the large number of peopleIn this pic there's a maximum of 10 people in cars, yet they get almost all the space, while the uncountable number of pedestrians are pushed out, up against the walls, just so they can live their lives without fear of getting killed by their fellow men, who are rich and ruthless enough to poison the air and the landscape with their carsThis is not worthy a city#ArroganceOfSpace

       Yes, to some large extent it's not about the ruthlessness of the people, but about politicians who have created a system where people get dependent on cars to live their lives. Still, these people often vote for those politicians, and complain every time someone tries do something about this deadly, quality of life and nature-destroying problem. And most, though obviously not all, could probably find a way to not drive in the very center of the city, at least, if they tried.

       @zog @forteller The trams in Amsterdam are terrifying - people keep well off their routes. But that’s public transport; not cars.
