I've been enjoying the videos from SITE INSPECTIONS, a Melbourne based building inspector who is taking a bit of youtuber flair to his profession.I like the focus on quality and safety, bringing a bit of fun and interest to what could be the otherwise dull subject of Australian drainage and roofing standards etc, as it shows the very real quality, health and safety issues these rules are for.It also maybe entertaining as it confirms the suspicion that a some of those cheap boxy new houses going up everywhere are cheap and boxy..https://www.youtube.com/@Siteinspections#realestate #melbourne #building #victoria #siteinspections

@endDRM is there a list of kindle alternative e-reader hardware that is OK to use?I ditched my kindle for a KOBO years ago and never looked back, it does EPUB natively and has been good so far. But there could be better or more DRM-free positive gear out there.

@ErikUden conversely Ethereum decoupled from the wasteful "mining" paradigm in one of the most well executed software changes in history, I used to be down on Ethereum but this is a positive. People wailing on cryptocurrency about the power use thing seem strangely silent on this impressive achievement. Of course Ethereum gave us NFTs as well 🙂 and is equally as un-private as bitcoin.Monero has solved the bitcoin privacy thing, but still does the mining thing, but doesn;t use as much electricity as bitcoin.and yes, we are plagued with crypto bro dipshits as well unfortunately.
