There was a recent controversy on Gab that reminded me of why I rarely use DM's and whenever I do I am usually very succinct, neutral, and brief in my responses, and why if I have a beef with someone I always hash it out in public, and if someone tries to drag me into drama, I simply don't respond. Dm's are toxic, I have seen many men destroy their entire reputations over what they say in them, unless you are just sharing memes or whatever you shouldn't use them.You will never be able to character assassinate me over what I say in DM's, because who I am in any longform DM conversation is identical to my public persona.

Ill dm, I just won't say anything I wouldn't say publicly in case someone threatened to drop them for whatever reason. If something private is discussed obviously I won't share it, I'm against that morally and to be subjective doing so would greenlight the same thing to be done me.

I wouldn't break it with anyone. Rarely do I say anything in DMs. Never anything that I wouldn't say publicly. If anything, I am much more caring and concerned in DM if I do at all.

Fair enough. I don't think that it is bad at all to use DM for something like that so long as the rule is applied. I apply it to all communications, personally. I don't text or even speak on the phone about things I wouldn't say publicly, barring obviously personal information that I wouldn't publicize about myself of others, but I don't even want to hear it in DMs.

And no matter how well you know somebody, you never message anything that could cause you trouble if it got out publicly. You never know if you will have a falling out later. @Shadowman311 I personally attempt to be as brief as possible in DMs and have always treated them as simply another forum of public poasting on my side; the Bowers experience on gab shows that you should always assume anything said in DMs is forever and easily accessible to the site admins.Because of my previous effortpoasts on Corona-chan I get a lot of personal DMs that I take extremely seriously and attempt to answer as best I can within the limitations of the medium, but I would strongly encourage you lads to maintain OPSEC as much as possible and be careful what you reveal to any anon about yourself, even on a forum as based as this one.

It was just room stacked on top of room.Anyway, someone from that DM group was in another DM group that was centered on trying to dox me, and they used their combined detective skills to determine where that house was, and someone tried to threaten me with knowing that address.Oh, it was Cole Lamberson who threatened me.
