@w3c, this is disappointing. Blockchain is one of those technologies that should never have been invented. The damage it has done on society is massive and I have yet to see any useful use of it.

@jeff @w3c , the tie between Blockchain and Web3 is clear enough. Tim Berners-Lee makes that clear as well. It is unfortunate that someone is getting away with smearing the name of the W3C through the Web3 and Blockchain. A lot of people actually think that Web3 is a Web standard. It kind of makes sense given the name, but it is just another scam.

@jon @w3c you seem to have a desire to make discussions of the merits of technology be muddied up with things that make review of said technology harder. isn't it best for the sake of clarity best to actually look at the core of blockchain without the distractions? leave the web3 pr script kiddies out for a second.

@jeff @w3c, I have yet to see a Blockchain solution that does not have some element of Crypto in there somewhere.I have also yet to see a use for the technology, that is actually useful. Typically it is referred to as a technology looking for a problem to solve, but in the meantime it has wrecked havoc where it has been used. That is just a fact.
