       Folks, did you know that building more things next to a Metro station makes it less accessible?

       @BenHarris_1 the only way to access things is in a car. It’s right there in the word “access.” Something about the letter C and numerology—anyone can see it if you look hard enough!

       @IMGoph @BenHarris_1 But what about the "transit-oriented parking" that'll be destroyed?!?!? https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/02/01/metro-is-ignoring-parking-issues-takoma-park-development/

       @BenHarris_1 @LhasaCM who the ****fuck**** cares? If every goddamned person who needed to drive to Takoma is replaced by 5 who live on top of the parking spaces, fine. Those drivers can drive to wherever the hell else they want. I, and every level of elected government, should not care to ever hear from them again.

       @IMGoph @LhasaCM Just call this “parking-oriented transit” and everyone leaves happy.

       @BenHarris_1 @IMGoph "This project will replace short-term temporary parking on an unsecured surface lot with all-day permanent parking availability in a safe and secured garage."

       @LhasaCM @IMGoph To @fakesharrows point, some honesty from that letter writer would be welcome. They just don’t want more people in their neighborhood. The current state of the neighborhood is as it should always be, and projects like this will turn it into something different, and that’s unwelcome. But instead, you get a defense of a crummy surface parking lot and an argument against allowing hundreds more people the opportunity of living adjacent to a transit node.

       @BenHarris_1 @LhasaCM @IMGoph @fakesharrows I wonder if they were part of the group astroturfing preservation of the old 7-11. I still remember that pancake lens photo trying to suggest that the new building would tower over the neighborhood.

       @BenHarris_1 Building apartments and condos clogs roads. Better to have everyone in a house and no ghetto/trailerpark to drive around.
