       After watching the @mac84tv video on the dual floppy Macintosh LC, I wondered could the same thing be done with the LCII , Apple removed the second floppy port completely but left the same controller IC. With a little cable trickery I was able to get the second floppy working. Breaking out the second enable from the IC and connected to pin 14 of second floppy drive was all that was needed

       It even shows left drive formatting vs right drive like the LC.

       @retrotheory @mac84tv but where does it fit in the case?

       @mmu_man good point , you would need an LC top cover with the second cutout. This was more of a thought experiment though

       @retrotheory I suppose you could put an HE10 connector on a PDS bracket to plug an external drive…

       @retrotheory yeah I know. That's cheating, it's not an LC-II anymore 😛

       @retrotheory shame the drive is too thick to fit under like an SD slot…https://m.g3l.org/@mmu_man/109735757699787129

       @retrotheory now, the LC-II top case actually still has the slot space behind the front, even the shield still has the cutout… Suppose you could practice with a dremel…

       A thinner laptop floppy mechanism might just fit under there.

       @mnemonicoverload @retrotheory hmm, not sure how thick the powerbook mechanism is but I suppose I could adapt my model for this…

       Another option might be a Gotek. They can be cased much thinner than a normal floppy drive.

       @mnemonicoverload @retrotheory they won't work on Macs which use a different interface than Shuggart.There's the FloppyEmu…

       @mmu_man @mnemonicoverload yea, you could have internal floppyemu and mirror the sd slot thing for left side, left side is floppy images and right side is hd images. And still have a real floppy drive 😉

       @retrotheory @mnemonicoverload you'd still need to deport the FloppyEmu LCD+buttons in some way but yeah.

       @mmu_man @retrotheory @mac84tv I was able to fit a BlueSCSI behind the second floppy drive by plugging it directly into the SCSI header on the motherboard. I needed a version of BlueSCSI with the correct gender SCSI header and I needed a longer floppy ribbon cable to fit over the top of the BlueSCSI.
