       at some point it's going to be trivial to spin up your own instance but what's the long game of content moderation then? is it inevitable that a handful of mega instances start sharing a blacklist of small (single-user) hosts?

       @loren It’s the problem every system of connected content has had with popularity: It happened to Usenet, will happen to Mastodon. We might be able to ditch the manual curation this time: AI might find a use here.
