       in an RPG, what would you rather have: high mat drop rates and high mat costs for quests/crafting/upgrades or low mat drop rates and low mat costs?

       absolutely on the side of lat mat requirements and low mat drop rates. if you have any type of crafting system in a game you should follow the KISS prerogative in order to keep the tedium of the game as low as possible.

       @professionalbigot69 low costs but low drop rates makes them feel like they matter more--unless crafting is the point of the game or unless there are builds centered around crafting/combat engineering
