       After being completely passwordless since our beginning in 2015, it was about time ... Not an official release yet, but you can now set a password on your Open Collective account!The feature is available for everyone from the new "Security" section of your personal settings.

       @opencollective fantastic!I thought passwordless was a good idea when I first heard about it, but after experiencing it firsthand… not so much. I rely on my password manager, and clicking over to email to find a magic link is not better.

       @PeterBronez Agree! We still think passwordless is relevant, depend the users and their use case. No password is better and more secure than a badly handled one.

       @opencollective that is true. Password-optional might be a great balance, especially for a platform like yours where1) it’s dealing with money so security definitely matters and2) it’s not a Skinner box so ppl aren’t on it all the time and don’t develop muscle memory around it.While I’ve got your attention- thanks so much for everything you do! You fill a critical gap and do it well. 🙏🏼
