@catvalente I tried to explain the story to my husband last night. I was able to do an elevator pitch & should have stopped there. I ended up just describing the story for an hour. It must have seemed like I was bouncing all over (I was, but how else could I have done it?) It led to talking about our relationships with our parents: we felt as one was dying and, now, as another is about to be, but cancer is not what made me cry in the story. Love did. Sweet tears.

@catvalente I found it so powerful I stopped halfway thru, and started over reading it out loud to my spouse, then when we ran out of time, insisted that I didn't want to finish it by myself, and we split reading the rest of it out loud to each other. I didn't want to be alone with it in my head! Very, very well done.

@catvalente I seem to have that reaction to a bunch of your work. I first heard of Palimpsest thru @songwitch 's album about it many years ago, and picked up the book, read part of it, couldn't bear to have it end, and still don't know the conclusion! But it's still really important to me, and I'm very grateful for you having written it.

@catvalente thank you for the work you do. This story confirmed to me that you are uncontainable and undefinable - I loved Space Opera as much as I loved Radiance, but would have trouble convincing anyone that they were by the same author. This story carries elements of both. Your space time continuum pushed me into my own world-of-personal-memory pinball machine and it was fantastic.
