Today I learned the American pronunciation for epoch sounds like "epic". WHY? I'm an American but I've always heard and pronounced it as ee-pock.

@preston_scheunemanWait, really? I've always said it like that too. Then again, my pronunciations are all mixed up from living overseas my whole life, but... I'd never even thought of the possibility anyone would pronounce it any way but ee-pock.

@benjaminhollon @preston_scheuneman never heard it pronounced "epic"... that's a little weird 🤣ee-pock always though I can humourously allow the mispronunciation ee-potch 😇
