       Yosemite's SplendorWinter in Yosemite can be a real adventure. Even though the sun is out it it early and the temperatures dipped greatly overnight. As the day warms much of the beard will melt and the volume of the falls increases.In this image the water moving over the falls gets blown against the mountain and freezes leaving a beard around the falls and a snow cone at the base.
