@graf I'm curious how the SD card is wired internally. My guess is it's connected via USB. USB>USB does put a lot of stress on the CPU (especially if they share the same bus)

@shadowferret @RedTechEngineer @graf USB is a great protocol, don't get me wrong. However, people greatly underestimate the overhead of USB. Especially on low power devices like a :raspberry_pi:. Looking at you, @shadowferret. I still wonder how much CPU time you wasted by having your database on a USB SSD.

@graf That makes me think there's no heat spreader on the card module. The cooling solution on the deck is enough to cool the full ~20W heat ceiling of the chip.

@washington yeah I'm not sure what happened. it was fine after rebooting but still warm to the touch. much warmer than gaming at full wattage
