Someone, somewhere once thought it would be a good idea to transport objects in pneumatic tubes. I can imagine them explaining their idea."Yeah, so they'll drive up and put their request in a cylinder and press a button that will activate a vacuum which will pull that cylinder into the building. That way they don't have to leave their car and the bankers can help multiple people at once, from the safety of inside the building."I want to hear those wild ideas now. Blockchain isn't wild enough

@adam IIRC the tubes didn't start with "serve customers". They started inside the building with "replace the mailboy". They ran a few outside later.

@AMS Ah, that would make a lot more sense. I knew the mail service here sometimes uses them too, but I thought is was expansion from banking instead of the other way around.
