       @maureenogle In terms of marketing and packaging, perhaps, but the actual fluid? I guess I don't see the appeal of malt liquor diluted with soda water.(One of the largest breweries in the USA is located in my city, and one of my university engineering classes involved a visit there.)

       @maureenogle Literally, mass-market American beer is malt liquor diluted with soda water. That's a primary way the industry deals with the various "legal strength standards". I'm not making this up, I've seen the bottles and cans being filled, and had it explained to me (both the what and the why) by the people who do it.
