sincerely don't understand how people can stand not to have pet ants. They are so cute and small. They have such complex social interactions and surprise me every day.How can you resist??

@edraac It's kind of unfortunate that ants are often seen as a hobby "for kids" -- it's not that simple to really keep a colony and make it thrive. And with nests like those made by foranto you can have a set up that looks good AND keeps the ants happy. Once I get the science teachers on board I'm going to keep one on my desk. https://foranto.eu/

@futurebird @edraac You want a classroom story about ants... My 5th grade teacher made a terrarium with ants, a doodle bug (ant lion) & a stick. The doodle bug ate the ants, then hatched into an adult ant lion and then the ants climbed up the stick & ate the doodle bug fly. Taught me a lot about the world. It's a bug eat bug life out here.
