@nickheer This is rich - this, coming from @NewYorkTimes The New York Times, who when I sent a request to fully delete my account and remove my personal info I got a letter back from their "Data Governance board " basically saying since I don't live in a state which affords me any data privacy rights they simply are refusing to comply -- since (presumably) they are not legally obligated.

@ConserveLetters @nickheer @NewYorkTimes I would contact the office in your state that deals with this stuff they may be able to help, in the meantime lets ALL boost this, There is a legal obligation to or not to do something, there is also an ethical / moral obligation to do or not to do something, in this case they should really respect what you have asked them to do. In the meantime lets boost this along with the toot of their article asking "are there too many Asians" in respoonse to the Terrible Monterey shootings. Sometimes an entities true colours come out without them even realising it,
