@lowqualityfacts A lot of stores here are getting better about that. They ask if you want one, and if you do they ask if you want it printed or e-mailed.

@lowqualityfacts I think it is getting better! Just shopped at a store with a newer POS system yesterday, defaults to no receipt but can send email/text (that particular one doesn't do paper)Although... I still gripe that there are ppl living in my area who pay cash and probably never want a receipt, but get one anyways

@lowqualityfacts actually, in some countries, they must keep a printed piece of paper as proof of card payment. If you want the receipt, they print a duplicate for you.

@lowqualityfacts At work we only receipts if the customers wants one. Unfortunately it then usually prints out two, but the intention is there at least.

@lowqualityfacts Nine times out of ten, my phone goes off to tell me about my purchase before the stupid receipt is even out of the printer.Receipts, like phone books, need to die, unless specifically requested.

You tap 1 and enter, then see it took that as 1Ā¢ rather than $1, but thereās no way to change it and thereās a line, so you hope it wonāt read as an insult, dip your card, and āsignā with your fingertip. Charge goes through, processor doesnāt have your info, so you have to tap in your email address on a key layout youāve never seen before, and hold up the line anyway
