       As many proprietary twitter clients deciding to support #mastodon, joinmastodon needs to take firm policy of promoting only free/libre clients to the users along with educating people about software freedom.Otherwise it'll be popular (like the kernel, Linux) but most of its users will not know about or have software freedom.

       @redstarfish Many people don't care about free/libre software but they care open source and many people like open source only because is free/gratis. Many people even think than free/libre software is The same as open source and there are differences.
