       dang. @ivory really is pretty nice. There's still a couple of "essential" features (alt text reading, post editing), but I think I might very well do the move once those are in, and start paying, too! @icecubesapp but I'm increasingly creeped out by their AI bullshit (ChatGPT integration, AI art icons, which I just found out about), and I really don't wanna support that kind of thing.

       @zkat @ivory @icecubesapp absolutely none of these apps have prioritized accessibility in any way and ngl it pisses me off. why is metatext the only app that has text identification in photos when creating alt text? like seriously why would that not be one of the first features any of these apps build in?

       @dexiheart @zkat (apologies for butting in) Tusker has this! you can long press an image on the compose screen and select Recognize Text to extract text from it

       @dexiheart @zkat the extent of the pleroma support is limited to not breaking when it deviates from the vanilla mastodon api and handling the different length/attachment/poll limits
