       @NotMyBub @MirrorAyako @allstartrek Interestingly, TNG S4 starts with a couple episodes that lay some of the groundwork for Generations. In Family, we see Picard with René, Robert, and Marie who are sadly killed (off screen) in Generations.        @petertrek1 @MirrorAyako @allstartrek With Kes’s departure… it really felt like “HEY WE HAVE A NEW BORG ON SET SO LETS GET RID OF KES”.It was especially surprising how Neelix didn’t seem to even notice her absence. Contrast that wit his attitude toward her that was established on S01E01.

       @christopher @MirrorAyako @allstartrek Yes, Kes was an important character, especially for the EMH.  She advocated for him at the beginning of Season 1 when the rest of the crew did not see him as a person.  She also encouraged him to learn and develop new hobbies, expanding his programming from the purely EMH that he had at the start of S1.
