       Man... nostlagia hit me hard in the feels today. I remember my brother showing me bad VHS rips of Lodoss He brought back from a LAN Party and little me thinking "This is the most epic stuff ever".Looking back, the Story and Animation were pretty mediocre, but the Art direction and that gritty 90's anime feel still blow me away. when you could See the penmanship all over the Animation cells and almost make out the texture of the paint they were using... that's the stuff.I think i stopped Caring about anime when Animation went Digital and linework became super homogenized, it's just not the same.

       Its really good. I still have my original dvd copy of it. I kinda wished they would remaster it on Blu-ray but i think its kinda lost to time

       I miss Cell animation. I know it was grueling work but god damn you can tell the difference between a modern anime and the oldschool stuff back in the day. Maybe i'm biased but I fucking love and miss the style of the anime back in the 80's. Vampire hunter D, Dominion Tank Police, Project A-ko, Record of Lodoss Wars, Demon City Shinjuku, you name it.

       It's a weird dicotomy, cell Animation let to either sweatshops or power point tier Animation. A Digital workflow keeps the artwork much closer to the artist, but i can't help but feel like Digital Products end up with less personality.

       There are modern AMV's who use AI to smooth Animations and some channels use AI to make old stop motion 60 fps. It's super doable, i'd suppose you could make 60fps Animations with 6-10 keyframes and make it Look organic.
