Can someone recommend me a feminist media outlet that publishes guest articles?Meghan Murphy was going to publish my article on FC but she hasn't been responding to my emails for a while, dunno why. 4W is women-only. Reduxx is very news-focused I think, might also be women-only.

@socjuswiz I just don’t think a lot of feminist media outlets are looking for articles from men, but there may be other media outlets that will publish a man’s thoughts about feminism – or information that is related to feminism. Feminism is a very generalized term for almost any women’s movement, so there will be a ton of overlap with websites that have readers of both sexes. What about the Post Millennial, Quillette, UnHerd, Plebity, or Spiked? Guests authors for the 11th Hour Blog don’t have to be female, as far as I know; of course, the sought-after topics there are in a narrow range. Are you a leftist? There’s Redline:https://rdln.wordpress.com/

@Cousin_Isobel (Replying from this account...)The thing is, those media outlets are mostly considered conservative or very close to conservative. A man who publishes an article on a place like that, and claims to support feminism or base his arguments on a feminist point of view, is not going to convince anyone who considers themselves liberal / feminist (as TRAs and their supporters always do). They'll just say "see, he's actually a conservative bigot, he just hides his bigotry behind fake feminism."If a feminist outlet publishes the article, that proves that at least the women behind that particular outlet agree to the arguments in the article. And if the publication is an at least somewhat popular one, such as Feminist Current, it proves that there's a larger number of women who probably agree to it. This is important, because the entire premise of my article revolves around some Free Software projects not being as "inclusive" as they claim to be, because they discriminate against feminist political perspectives. It's a really terrible situation. The TRAs who took over like 90% of Free Software enforce their anti-feminist policies in the forms of Code of Conduct documents, all the while selling this as "being inclusive" to the project maintainers. Any man who points out the hypocrisy will be shut down as "just a cis man trying to dominate the discourse" (exactly that claim was already leveled against me) and there are barely any women speaking up because the projects are made up 99% of male contributors. I think some of these projects have more transwomen than women among their regular or long-time members, which is supremely ironic, even though it's probably not purely because of the direct discrimination. (Less women get into software in the first place, for whatever combination of reasons.)

@taylan Okay, well, you can try; I just don’t have an answer for which actual feminist site wants to publish a man. What you are saying makes sense: there’s something bad happening to women because of this problem within Free Software, but not many women know about it because this largely isn’t an industry we’ve chosen to enter. As a man, you have knowledge you would like to share, and you want to do it where liberals and feminist might be listening.I will say that:a) The same people who think that Spiked and Quillette are “fascist” websites think that Feminist Current, Reduxx, etc., are “fascist.”b) Radfems do read these friendly conservative sites, so your article would be seen by us.These two points don’t totally negate yours, but they do make the situation less black and white.Plebity and Redline really aren’t conservative or even near-conservative. They appear to me to need more writers, as well; they don’t have new articles as often as the other sites do.Maybe a guest post on someone’s Substack?

@socjuswiz You could offer an interview to a "Jungle World" journalist, they have some authors who are into feminist topics.Mind you it's not a dedicated feminist publication, rather a leftist (post-)marxist one, but they seem to be the only left-wing media left to even allow advocating for gendercritical/feminist viewpoints at all in germany.I could even contact some people who published there to see if they see an option to get this reported on in the paper or the Jungle Blog

@Cousin_Isobel Plebity looks like a solid option, thanks. You're right that the TRAs view sites like FC as "fake feminism" as well... There's maybe a category of TRA-adjacent liberals who aren't *that* deep into calling everything they don't like "fascist" but then again, I guess those should also pay consideration to the actual arguments in my article, so maybe it won't make much of a difference whether it's published on something like Plebity, or an explicitly feminist outlet...Also, the article does point out that there's at least a dozen new grassroots feminist organizations out there now that explicitly oppose the TRA movement, not to mention lots of prominent life-long feminists, so if that doesn't prove to them that I'm arguing from a feminist point of view, I guess nothing will.

@Rogue_Koala Feminist Current publishes men, too. Or at least did so in the past.

@socjuswiz If you support feminism why don't you understand the inherent reality that a female wants to read female perspectives on issues. That's what feminism is. Female perspectives.
