       @NBS Having worked in the HQ of a big silicon valley tech company, I can confirm. The companies all compete with each other to offer the best benefits to attract the "talent". I left in '17 so before it got completely nuts, but even then my company was building a bar that would serve alcohol after 5pm in the office, so it was ridiculous even 5 years ago. Much of the early stuff was an attempt to keep you in the office, e.g. drycleaning services or mechanics to change your oil in the parking lot

       @NBS If this is how “they” roll, no wonder Musk could fire so many without much impact. For comparison, I know people working for Amazon (in technology), and, boy, they’re ridden hard. No exploring rooftops.
