@Viking As a kid, my parents always said 10% tip was fair. Now as an adult, I often hear 20% is standard. Since when did it go to 25%? What is this tipflation?

@NBS Having worked in the HQ of a big silicon valley tech company, I can confirm. The companies all compete with each other to offer the best benefits to attract the "talent". I left in '17 so before it got completely nuts, but even then my company was building a bar that would serve alcohol after 5pm in the office, so it was ridiculous even 5 years ago. Much of the early stuff was an attempt to keep you in the office, e.g. drycleaning services or mechanics to change your oil in the parking lot

@greyknight33 do you keep your PETG in a dry box when printing? It's even more hydrophilic than PLA, and you can run into these kinds of issues due to the absorbed water in the filament boiling as it passes through the nozzle and sending blobs or strands of filament all over. And depending on the shape of your base layers, PETG is known to curl up off the bed pretty aggressively, even with a heated bed. Thin tabs and such like to lift up during printing

@greyknight33 I grabbed one of these to keep my filaments in since you can print from the box, and even I get some issues like that due to the exposed 6inches between the box and the printer, but far less pronounced. I would think your main issue is water absorption in the filament. The heating function can help resurrect your filament, but you don't need to leave it on all the time.
