@mmu_man @doctorow Per Ray Kurzweil, if a century-old historical computing trend remains consistent, by 2030 the power of the human brain will cost $1000, and AI live video will be able to pass a hard Turing test. By 2045, more computer power on earth than brains. AI power first into the hands of a corrupt elite class, but it will eclipse them https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/45/ParadigmShiftsFrr15Events.svg/1280px-ParadigmShiftsFrr15Events.svg.png

@mmu_man @doctorow This seems far more positive than owning the means of production. Producing things we don't need, to create capital seems a large part of what ails humanity; along with controlling things when we don't need to.
