@dc @vanbadham Banning guns makes them harder to get and harder to own. It also makes them more expensive on the black market. It doesn't stop it completely, true. But Australia is a good case for how gun control can have a positive effect. Is it perfect no. Has it helped reduce a mass or school shootings absolutely yes. People still own guns here. @roo79 @vanbadham wrong. gun's give you freedom and protection. when you ban guns you cant stop the bad guys who will always have guns. police will never be able to responded in a reasonable time to save lives. most mass shoting are committed with ileage guns banning legal ones would mean more people die. the reason gun deaths are lower in other places is both un reporting and the difference in what weapons are used. in finality restrictions on guns are so the government can take your rights

@dc @vanbadham Fact 1 having guns has no correlation to police response times at all. I'll get that out of the way right now. So you are saying that kids being mass murdered in schools , people in nightclubs murdered, is freedom? That having a situation where a 6 year old can get a gun and shoot their teacher is freedom? @dc @MCFoodie @vanbadham We do have guns here. We just have sane laws that prevent psychopaths, gun nuts & mentally disturbed people from getting them. Here you have to have a legitimate reason to own one. You can't own an automatic, semi automatic, pump action or a hand gun. You have to wait a month to get one. You have to be registered, can't conceal carry or have it in a public place. Even our version of the NRA supports our gun laws here. Why? Because they don't want to be like America

That can bring to bare more arms & personnel than any militia. Ever could. 2 is protection against the bad guys. Then why don't we have people getting gun down as often as America?
