       @doctormoAre people asking this question still? Of course you can make money developing free software. Financial success or failure depends on your business model, not copyright. It is crazy that people believe the lie that without copyright no one would be able to create content or write code for a living. Even without the GPL and similar licenses the ideals of free software and profits both would live on. My partner brings in enough to work on a free software embedded OS full time.

       @mr_penguin i believe the question isn't as simple as xis it possible at all"But rather "can we work for normal people?" and "how can we organise ourselves to make this work?"With a clever person asking the follow up question: "so how long would this take?"
