I really dont care for paganism, but the pagans Ive met all believed much more strongly in basic morality than any Christian I know. We have got to resuscitate Christianity before the wimps and losers conpletely snuff it out

Modern religious people think they do not have moral authority to enforce order. They actively condemn others who wish to enforce order. These people must be either kicked out of the church or entirely new congregations must form.

@PvtProperty People who recognize moral failings in our society and want to live apart from that and rise above it are better than lukewarm 'believers' who don't practice their faith and instead redefine scripture and teachings to try and fit the current morality. The same goes for every faith. I don't hate pagans, but I think they're wrong. They can be otherwise virtuous people despite idolatry; I'm not in any position to claim I'm perfect nor pretend I don't regularly sin and violate God's commandments myself.

I know what Christians always believed until a hundred years ago. People need to stop pretending like being a doormat is virtuous and admirable. We arent Buddhists

@PvtProperty Even Buddhists aren't passive to self extinction. Ascetics of all faiths tend to be nonviolent, although there are certainly exceptions. I imagine it's hard to be a big strong warrior when you spend a lot of time fasting and praying. Regardless, your point is valid. We should remind others that ignoring evil or malicious actions by our enemies is not only unjust but contrary to what God calls us to do.

@PvtProperty there are still decent christians in rural areas. many i respect more than the reddit faggot "e-pagans" who think marvel is anything but a slander. i talk to rural christians often about paganism in my area and often their attitudes on things never stopped being pagan. the deep reverence for Nature and the old ways is there. inherent self reliance. community. the pagan is the redneck, the hick, the hillbilly, the country bumpkin, the inbred, the honky, the scotsirish, the barbarian, the ridiculed. the uncultured. the word pagan means rural. heathen the same. one who lives upon the heath. real pagans have far more in common with rural christians than city folk.

@PvtProperty maybe their choise of simulacrum claimed to be a modern "paganism" was caused by the urge to find a religious system, which would sustain their morality (which is mostly christian but secular at the same time) to survive the age of things they intuitively call degenerate (or sinful as you wish).Imho, my speculations.

@PvtProperty We can probably blame the enlightenment for a lot of our social malaise. The church should have pushed back a bit more, or at least tried to codify less wiggle room on certain issues. The fragmentation of American Christianity is likely why so much nonsense has taken root. I know people who are traditionalists but attend modern liberalized churches because their kids have friends there. I wonder if they realize what they're setting their children up for?
