       @dansup A wild idea - because it takes some effort - but maybe you could:- Make a list of the hundreds of web hosting services that exist today - Contact them and ask if they'll start offering "managed hosting" of #Pixelfed servers (many already do this for #WordPress, for example)- Update pixelfed.org to show a list of hosting providers offering the "zero-click" setupMany people who don't have the knowledge to install a server setup, but could run one.Mastodon should do the same.

In fact, no Norwegian instances are listed there. 😱 I maintain my own list of instances too - but my original point wasnt about finding instances to join but that there should be more alternatives to masto.host https://coxy.co/mastodon

       @matt For better or worse, most people’s introduction to the #Fediverse is via #Mastodon, but you are right that there needs to be more exposure to other platforms.I use #PixelFed, #WriteFreely, #MicroBlog & #WordPress via the #ActivityPub plugin.I am hopeful #Tumblr joins too, but I think Tumblr will settle for what WordPress has done & embrace partial federation (basically, you can subscribe but not @ mention anyone).

       @matt @dansup I like this idea. I think you can create "one click apps" on Digital Ocean. Then you could put a referral code on the Pixelfed website to help bring in some extra revenue to support the project.
