On the industrial side, as a complete outsider, it seems like a match made in heaven (Honda’s highly reputed mechanics on motorbikes meeting Sony’s industrial design, creating a new car manufacturer instead of merely trying to pile up yet another brand)but as usual I’m scared about electric cars and their usage as an excuse for DRMing everything :blobcatnotlikethis:

Only way I’m interested on this is they don’t DRM the hell out of everything (and instead DRM nothing at all)

@xerz given Sony 's usual naming conventions, this should really be like VGP-1479F. Compared to this, Afeela is an improvement. Perhaps that's the Honda influence? 🤔

@xerz I don’t think sales to individuals is the goal here. I think subscriptions to car services are the goal. As in you pay $NNN/mo and whenever you want a car, one drives itself to your door and takes you wherever (maybe self-driving, maybe remote-assisted). Either way, the infrastructure is where companies like Apple and Sony fit in
