       back in my day you'd have people tell you to kill yourself online and you'd laugh in their face and tell them to kill you themselves if they're not a fucking coward. but i guess kids these days are more fragile than that

       @root my policy on telling people to kill themselves is to not do it against people who I know have struggled with suicide and mental health issues

       @root The problem is that if someone is already suicidal saying that might push them to do it. How would you feel if you found out? The thing is you likely wouldn't even find out that you had driven that person to their death. Too many of us accept living in an world of anonymous abuse. Too many of us boost our selfish need to feel superior by being abusive.  Why should anyone think this is OK?

       @yacowaco actually i did tell elon musk to commit suicide once but i only did that because it was the fastest way to delete my twitter account so i hope that's ok
