I used to be a news junkie but now I watch the news & it always seems so stale. Why?Is it because it's often covering superficial topics & ignoring so much that we should know about?Or that it rarely goes into much depth?Also there seems to be less coverage of international news?Or is it the care not taken to be neutral and accurate?How do you feel about this?

@root The problem is that if someone is already suicidal saying that might push them to do it. How would you feel if you found out? The thing is you likely wouldn't even find out that you had driven that person to their death. Too many of us accept living in an world of anonymous abuse. Too many of us boost our selfish need to feel superior by being abusive. Why should anyone think this is OK?

I'm not sure anyone can help me on this. I have a Norwegian maple in the front of my house which when it rains it stays dry underneath - sometimes bone dry (except in really really heavy rain) so my question is:Where does this rain go? I grew up with gas stoves and always loved them but then I lived in Japan and we had a gas heater. I questioned this, given it was an earthquake zone, but the residents assured me it was safe. That was until the Kobe earthquake where fires from gas lines burned the equivalent of 70 city blocks.
