@jayrosen_nyu We are twelve years past the time it was obvious that the Tea Party is a disloyal minority. It's hard to break out of models, so much so that we came within feet and seconds of losing it all on January 6th of 2021.Nobody wants to admit this, because there are an enormous number of deeply unpalatable things that follow from it.

@jayrosen_nyu The last time a major political party died we had a civil war.I think historians will mark 1/6/2021 as the start of our second.The duration and destruction will be determined by how quickly we can cage the Chaosmonkey Caucus.And if we can't, that will be a measure of just how corrupt our so called "law enforcement" have become.

@Ricardus I think it is more complex than that. There's been a LONG delay in accountability, but with Jack Smith appointed and the GOP is utter disarray ... let's hope that house cleaning begins ... in the House.And nice to meet a fellow Rick Beato fan :-)

@nealr I am not hopeful. I expect to actually have to fight Nazis (next level MAGAs), on american soil, in the next two years.I'm not the biggest Beato fan, but I love his complaints videos.There are times when he says stuff that just makes might head explode. 🙂

@AvvieLanche @nealr What makes you say that? He actually does seem to have some guitar technique, and his music theory knowledge is encyclopedic. I've been a recording engineer for 25 years and when he talks about recording sometimes my head explodes. He occasionally says the stupidest things I've ever heard that are really just bad ideas.

@Ricardus @glum_hippo I have no musical talent, but having been a Grateful Dead fan for 30+ years, there is a manner of listening ... which one engages in where there are hundreds of quality recordings of a single tune spread across decades.Rick has the theory to describe things in great detail. I don't have the ears or the years left to acquire that, but I find it interesting to compare what moves him with things I like.

I had a bandmate that drove me nuts wasting time playing guitar riffs of what "we used to play.." Beato sounds like that guy.
