       I've been feeling very introverted and introspective for the past few weeks.Initially, I was going to follow up that sentence with something profound and helpful for my Fediverse friends, but the Jason of #2023 is going to put more effort into analyzing himself and improving his life, rather than trying to be some beacon of inspiration. Here's to being a constant work-in-progress.

       @killyourfm Best of luck to ya. I'm on the same path. I HAVE to turn things around this year, learn new skills, find new job opportunities everywhere I can, and figure out what I can do fto make my small corner of the 'verse a little better... for me. And others, but for me most, because nobody else is gonna do it and I can't set myself on fire to keep others warm (as they say on Reddit) forever.Self-care is my health plan this year (financial, dietary, exercise-wise). Has to be.Hugs.

       @CaffeinatedBookDragon I've never heard the phrase "set myself on fire to keep others warm" but damn, that is awesome and instantly relatable. I went through a few periods in the last decade where I've just destroyed my mental health to satisfy an audience, and I can safely say I'll never do that again.        @killyourfm Totally understandable! There are so many amazing paths we can take in life. Sometimes we should stop rushing forward and take a look around for a little while to appreciate the view. After all, your own battery must be charged before lighting the way for others. 😊

       @killyourfm find the space and thing that makes you feel whole, whatever it is. After that you might consider beaconizing that stuff, but only after that. Great idea btw, thanks for sharing, it made me say somewhere else "less rabbithole, more real life".
