if you think you can notice all sorts of hidden stuff and that there are conspiracies everywhere: these are signs of psychosis, or schizotypal personality disorder.on the Internet, you can meet others who feel the same way.but this just means there is more than one person that suffers from it. it doesn't mean the conspiracy is true.i tried out meds for ADHD once and i went a bit paranoid and superstitious from it. but i had a reference point. i could remember how it was to NOT think like that, so i maintained my sanity.now, if you're born like that, you've got a problem...

@thor Antipsychotics are awesome. I was on them for a couple of years and since then I'm far more aware of when my mind goes sideways and it happens far less often.

@solient what's funny is that every therapist i've seen says i don't need therapy. but the problem is that this crap isn't on my mind when i'm there in the therapist's office. it's more like "i'm just happy someone is asking me about my day" or such. so i don't exactly come across as this often unhappy person.

@thor a prime condition for my brain eating itself is being alone. 🤔 Which I am a lot. I did find antipsychotics useful but holy heck the side effects are a *lot*, which is why I'm off them now - they conflicted with other meds, on top of everything else.

@solient i can't imagine what drug cocktail would fix a brain that is simultaneously low on dopamine but also neurotic. ADHD drugs make me more structured but also more stressed out, and one that i tried triggered a manic/psychotic episode...
