It's that time of year again when I receive loads of birthday greetings.Not that it is my birthday. Whenever websites ask me for my birthdate I always provide the Unix Epoch Date, not my real one.#NeverGiveOutYourRealData

@IndyRichard I usually mix'n'match my "data" according to how I feel on the day. The Epoch date is one of my favourites.

I'm amazed. It's the 2020s and websites still ask things like "mother's maiden name" and "name of first school", etc. Things that (if you answer truthfully) cannot be changed should they leak.

@fitheach just saying that that’s a big IF - about answering truthfully. These things are being asked so often and on so many sites, that really no one should be answering truthfully and use password manager to save some random answers.

@alexgranford I don't think one should ever answer these things truthfully. I was just trying to highlight the problem.However, there are situations where the real data has to be provided. Government tax sites being an example.
