Just been in the spare room and literally ripped the Epson Expression Home XP-2200 Printer off the shelf and took it downstairs, and threw it by the bins. It's only printed once and now won't print the missuses return (pdf) label so guess whose fault that is? Piece of shit.

@dick_turpin Ever moreso when said missus is using Linux. I get this sort of thing often and have to remind mine that the bulk of her problems on Windows were related to printing not working.

I blame myself for not checking. The damn thing was not supported under Linux. I'll get an HP when I get back to work.

@dick_turpin I thought most printers were supported nowadays, under CUPS, if they support the web printing protocol thingy.I've found the path of least resistance is to buy cheap HP AIO devices (currently have a 2630) and take the hit on having to buy genuine HP ink cartridges. On the plus-side the HPLIP and HPCUPS drivers are very good (I even use PDF as the printer format) and you, effectively, fit new printheads when you change a cartridge.
