       There's a bit of a bottleneck on my way to work. Residents park outside their houses, yet the road isn't wide enough for parked cars and traffic. A cyclist dressed like he was on the Tour de France came hurtling up behind me even though he could see a line of stationary cars waiting to get past. Refusing to wait like the rest of the road users, he mounted the kerb and gave me a filthy look because he couldn't get down the inside of my car, rode past the parked cars, and, I presume, rejoined the road further down.This is why motorists dislike cyclists. The attitude of entitlement they seem to have is so annoying.

       What have I told you about trying to cater to everyone's preferences? It's impossible. The only solution is to have a one-size-fits-all narrative. 😛I had a Honda 70 back in 1983, rode it all the way to work in the snow and ice, all the way home in the snow and ice, went to get off it, and the dam thing fell on me and broke my leg!        So, the theory being put forward by #ReformUK is a 20% tax relief on all private healthcare and insurance. The inference being that if more people take up private healthcare, there will be less demand on the #nhs. Sounds logical, right? The only problem is that we all know what will happen. If demand falls, so will the funding. Another "innovative?" idea is: "𝘊𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘒 & 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴." so basically shipping our sick and injured to another country. #politics

       For me, it looks like a lot of Smoke & Mirrors. I can't fathom how the voter falls for one minute, "We'll raise business NI to get some money in." the next telling everyone "We want to work closely with businesses."These proposals are simply paper lanterns that will probably go up in smoke. Given it's going to take at least ten years for work to start and another fifteen years to complete, I suspect Labour's idea is to gain maximum kudos today for the idea, knowing full well the Tories or A-another will get into power and cancel it long before the first shovel of soil is turned.
