       As we approach 2023, it is amazing to see how much has changed since October 27th, 2022.We started out as a fairly small, but open, 4000 user Mastodon instance which began life in April 2017 after we had moved off of a single server StatusNET node.Now, we've got 3 dedicated 10TB links, 7 servers with various redundant roles and we're staged to continue to help folks make connections in meaningful and non-commercial ways just as we have since 1987.Thank you for being here!#happynewyear

       This is so cool! I joined here pretty early in the Musk saga, and there has been so much growth since I got here. It's been awesome the way SDF has stayed open to welcoming people and providing a place to connect.Mastodon may not be your primary mission, but I think this is a really neat example of an org can grow in how it serves the world.@SDF
